In person \u2013 At QICSS (Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This training aims to help participants understand and become familiar with the main tools and methods used in demolinguistics<\/strong>\u2014a discipline traditionally referred to as the demography of linguistic groups<\/em>\u2014in order to study and describe the evolution of linguistic dynamics in Quebec. Comparisons with situations in the rest of Canada will also be presented and discussed.<\/p>\n

Prerequisites: <\/strong>Basic or intermediate knowledge of Excel recommended.<\/p>\n

\n

Student scholarships<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Scholarships are available <\/strong>for students enrolled in the Fall 2025 term<\/strong> who are participating in the Fall School<\/strong>. Two types of financial support are available:<\/p>\n

  • \n

    Reimbursement of the training registration fees;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    A mobility grant <\/strong>of up to $800<\/strong> to help cover travel and accommodation expenses for participants coming from outside the Montreal area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Scholarship applications will be processed after the completion of the school<\/strong>, once participation has been confirmed.<\/p>\n
