Compare the situation in Quebec with those observed in the rest of Canada. Explore different theoretical and methodological perspectives and viewpoints in order to develop a critical analysis of the vast amount of information and statistics presented by scientific, governmental, and media stakeholders on the subject. Put the results from various surveys\u2014including those conducted by the Office qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la langue fran\u00e7aise and the Institut de la statistique du Qu\u00e9bec\u2014into perspective.
