The CIQSS: A crossroads of partnerships for Quebec research

The Quebec Interuniversity Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS) offers the Quebec academic community privileged access to Statistics Canada microdata. Our mission is supported by a solid network of financial partners, including our member institutions, the Fonds de recherche du Québec, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

As a regional partner of the Canadian Research Data Centre Network, CIQSS is actively involved in a national collaboration that facilitates access to microdata and supports cutting-edge research across the country.

Our long-standing partnership with theInstitut de la statistique du Québec is reflected in the joint organization of training courses, networking events and promotional activities.
This collaboration aims to enhance the value of research using data available in the Institut de la statistique du Québec’s Centres d’accès aux données de recherche (CADRISQ), thus stimulating the exploitation of Quebec survey and administrative data in research.

These strategic partnerships reinforce the CIQSS’s position as a key player in the research ecosystem in Quebec and Canada.
