In 2018, the Quebec government designated the Secrétariat à la condition féminine as responsible for conducting, in collaboration with the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ) and the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, a “population-based survey to measure the phenomenon of intimate partner violence in Quebec [laquelle] will significantly improve the data currently available on the subject” (Action 49 of the Government Action Plan on Domestic Violence 2018-2023).
