Selection effects
Training offered as part of the ‘Modèles de risque et durée’ course at Université de Montréal students wishing to obtain the credits associated with DMO 6405, please register on the usual platform.
(Although this course follows Introduction to Introduction to Risk and Duration Models and Regression models for Biographical Data it is possible to attend this training without having taken the previous two courses.)
Face-to-face training. Selection effects are used to understand, detect and correct the biases that arise when the individuals observed or compared are not equivalent at the outset, due to a non-random selection mechanism.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of STATA and an introductory statistics course. (Optional, but recommended: Introduction to Risk and Duration Models and Regression Models for Biographical Data.)
