Survey on COVID-19 and Mental Health (SCMH) 2021

The Survey on COVID-19 and Mental Health aims to collect data to assess the impacts of COVID-19 on the mental health and well-being of Canadian adults. Topics include behaviors and symptoms associated with depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suicide risk, pressure on parents, substance use, household violence, as well as general mental health. The presentation will give an overview of the survey.

Impacts of COVID-19 on Health Care Workers: Infection Prevention and Control (ICHCWIPC)

The purpose of this crowdsource questionnaire is to understand the impacts of COVID-19 on Canadian health care workers, with a particular focus on access to personal protective equipment and infection prevention and control measures in the workplace. The presentation will give an overview of the crowdsourcing initiative, the methodological considerations, and the results.

Speakers

Bruno Lafontaine

 

Bruno Lafontaine has been working at Statistics Canada since July 2021. Bruno is an exercise physiologist who has completed a master's degree in clinical sciences from the University of Sherbrooke in environmental epidemiology. He worked for 10 years at Health Canada. He is now responsible for a new team devoted to healthcare access and patient experience within the Center for Population Health Data.

 

Isabelle Lévesque

 

Isabelle Lévesque has been working at Statistics Canada since 1996.

During her career, she has had the chance to work on numerous projects and investigations covering various subjects, including health. Since December 2021, she has been the manager responsible for projects related to mental health and substance use at the Center for Population Health Data.
