%20au%20Canada%20dans%20le%20contexte%20d%5Cu2019une%20augmentation%20du%20poids%20des%20immigrants%20parmi%20la%20main-d%5Cu2019oeuvre%20canadienne%22%2C%22creators%22%3A%5B%7B%22creatorType%22%3A%22author%22%2C%22firstName%22%3A%22Rafael%22%2C%22lastName%22%3A%22Silva-Ramirez%22%7D%5D%2C%22abstractNote%22%3A%22Les%20derni%5Cu00e8res%20projections%20de%20Statistique%20Canada%20montrent%20que%20la%20structure%20de%20la%20population%20canadienne%20conna%5Cu00eet%20deux%20grandes%20transformations%20depuis%20quelques%20d%5Cu00e9cennies%20%3A%20elle%20devient%20de%20plus%20en%20plus%20%5Cu00e2g%5Cu00e9e%20et%20elle%20se%20diversifie.%20La%20concentration%20progressive%20de%20la%20population%20canadienne%20dans%20les%20groupes%20d%27%5Cu00e2ge%20plus%20avanc%5Cu00e9s%2C%20v%5Cu00e9hicul%5Cu00e9%20par%20le%20vieillissement%20d%5Cu00e9mographique%2C%20est%20donc%20accompagn%5Cu00e9e%20d%5Cu2019une%20diversit%5Cu00e9%20croissante%20de%20sa%20population%20li%5Cu00e9e%20%5Cu00e0%20l%5Cu2019immigration%20qui%20contribue%2C%20entre%20autres%2C%20%5Cu00e0%20la%20croissance%20de%20la%20main-d%5Cu2019%5Cu0153uvre%20canadienne.%5CnPuisque%20les%20immigrants%2C%20comme%20les%20natifs%2C%20vieillissent%20et%20finissent%20par%20prendre%20leur%20retraite%2C%20la%20diversification%20d%5Cu00e9mographique%20qui%20leur%20est%20associ%5Cu00e9e%20aura%20incontestablement%20un%20impact%20sur%20les%20comportements%20de%20retraite%20observ%5Cu00e9s%20au%20Canada%2C%20car%20les%20immigrants%20et%20les%20natifs%20ont%20des%20trajectoires%20professionnelles%20et%20familiales%20diff%5Cu00e9rentes%20qui%20se%20manifesteront%20lors%20de%20la%20transition%20de%20la%20vie%20active%20%5Cu00e0%20la%20retraite.%20%5CnMalgr%5Cu00e9%20ce%20contexte%2C%20nombreuses%20sont%20les%20questions%20sur%20la%20retraite%20des%20immigrants%20qui%20demeurent%20sans%20r%5Cu00e9ponse.%20En%20effet%2C%20la%20revue%20de%20la%20litt%5Cu00e9rature%20de%20cette%20th%5Cu00e8se%20a%20permis%20de%20constater%20que%2C%20si%20la%20recherche%20sur%20la%20retraite%20a%20r%5Cu00e9pondu%20%5Cu00e0%20de%20nombreuses%20questions%2C%20celles%20relatives%20au%20comportement%20des%20immigrants%20ont%20%5Cu00e9t%5Cu00e9%20moins%20explor%5Cu00e9es.%20Parmi%20celles-ci%20figurent%20les%20caract%5Cu00e9ristiques%20des%20immigrants%20retrait%5Cu00e9s%2C%20les%20effets%20de%20la%20d%5Cu00e9finition%20de%20la%20retraite%20sur%20les%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%20des%20%5Cu00e9tudes%20dans%20un%20contexte%20de%20forte%20immigration%20ainsi%20que%20les%20facteurs%20influen%5Cu00e7ant%20l%27%5Cu00e2ge%20de%20la%20retraite%20des%20travailleurs%20immigrants.%5CnPour%20contribuer%20%5Cu00e0%20am%5Cu00e9liorer%20les%20connaissances%20sur%20la%20retraite%2C%20cette%20th%5Cu00e8se%20s%5Cu2019est%20fix%5Cu00e9%20trois%20objectifs%20pr%5Cu00e9sent%5Cu00e9s%20sous%20la%20forme%20d%27articles%20scientifiques%20qui%20se%20sont%20concentr%5Cu00e9s%20sur%20la%20derni%5Cu00e8re%20retraite%20observ%5Cu00e9e.%20%5CnLe%20premier%20article%20propose%20un%20portrait%20de%20la%20population%20retrait%5Cu00e9e%20au%20Canada%20selon%20le%20statut%20d%27immigrant.%20Il%20a%20%5Cu00e9t%5Cu00e9%20dress%5Cu00e9%20%5Cu00e0%20l%5Cu2019aide%20des%20donn%5Cu00e9es%20de%20l%5Cu2019Enqu%5Cu00eate%20sociale%20g%5Cu00e9n%5Cu00e9rale%20de%202016.%20Les%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%2C%20bien%20que%20purement%20descriptifs%2C%20montrent%20que%20le%20statut%20d%5Cu2019immigrant%20implique%20un%20passage%20de%20la%20vie%20active%20%5Cu00e0%20la%20retraite%20diff%5Cu00e9rent%20de%20celui%20des%20natifs.%20Nous%20constatons%20que%20les%20immigrants%2C%20femmes%20et%20hommes%2C%20prennent%20leur%20retraite%20plus%20tard%20que%20leurs%20homologues%20natifs%20et%20que%20ces%20derniers%20sont%20plus%20susceptibles%20d%5Cu2019%5Cu00eatre%20%5Cu00e0%20la%20retraite%2C%20peu%20importe%20le%20groupe%20d%5Cu2019%5Cu00e2ge%20analys%5Cu00e9.%20Quant%20au%20revenu%2C%20cette%20%5Cu00e9tude%20souligne%20que%20l%5Cu2019acc%5Cu00e8s%20%5Cu00e0%20des%20r%5Cu00e9gimes%20priv%5Cu00e9s%20de%20pensions%20chez%20les%20personnes%20immigrantes%20est%20inf%5Cu00e9rieur%20%5Cu00e0%20celui%20des%20natifs.%20De%20plus%2C%20nous%20constatons%20que%20la%20principale%20source%20de%20revenu%20de%20retraite%20pour%20la%20majorit%5Cu00e9%20d%5Cu2019individus%20sont%20les%20r%5Cu00e9gimes%20publics%20de%20pensions%20et%20les%20transferts%20gouvernementaux%2C%20sauf%20pour%20les%20hommes%20natifs%20qui%20sont%20plus%20port%5Cu00e9s%20%5Cu00e0%20d%5Cu00e9clarer%20les%20r%5Cu00e9gimes%20priv%5Cu00e9s%20de%20pensions%20comme%20source%20principale%20de%20revenu.%5CnLe%20deuxi%5Cu00e8me%20article%2C%20qui%20utilise%20les%20donn%5Cu00e9es%20de%20l%27%5Cu00e9tude%20longitudinale%20internationale%20des%20adultes%20%28ELIA%29%20coupl%5Cu00e9es%20aux%20donn%5Cu00e9es%20administratives%20sur%20les%20revenus%2C%20se%20penche%20sur%20la%20question%20de%20savoir%20comment%20la%20d%5Cu00e9finition%20de%20la%20retraite%20affecte%20%5Cu00e0%20la%20fois%20les%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%20relatifs%20au%20nombre%20de%20retrait%5Cu00e9s%20et%20%5Cu00e0%20l%27%5Cu00e2ge%20moyen%20de%20la%20retraite%20lorsque%20le%20statut%20d%27immigrant%20est%20pris%20en%20compte.%20Cette%20%5Cu00e9tude%20examine%20%5Cu00e9galement%20si%20cet%20effet%20varie%20de%20la%20m%5Cu00eame%20mani%5Cu00e8re%20pour%20les%20immigrants%20et%20les%20natifs.%20Les%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%20sugg%5Cu00e8rent%20que%20la%20fa%5Cu00e7on%20de%20d%5Cu00e9finir%20la%20retraite%20affecte%20%5Cu00e0%20la%20fois%20l%5Cu2019estimation%20de%20la%20proportion%20de%20retrait%5Cu00e9s%20%5Cu00e0%20une%20tranche%20d%5Cu2019%5Cu00e2ge%20donn%5Cu00e9e%20et%20l%5Cu2019%5Cu00e2ge%20auquel%20elle%20survient.%20Le%20choix%20de%20la%20d%5Cu00e9finition%20a%20donc%20un%20impact%20sur%20la%20comparaison%20entre%20les%20immigrants%20et%20les%20natifs%20puisqu%27elle%20s%27appuie%20sur%20des%20estimations%20et%20des%20%5Cu00e9carts%20qui%20varient%20en%20fonction%20de%20son%20op%5Cu00e9rationnalisation.%20En%20outre%2C%20nos%20analyses%20montrent%20que%20l%27effet%20du%20choix%20de%20la%20d%5Cu00e9finition%20varie%20entre%20les%20groupes%20d%27%5Cu00e2ge%2C%20les%20personnes%20de%20moins%20de%2065%20ans%20y%20%5Cu00e9tant%20les%20plus%20sensibles.%20%5CnLe%20troisi%5Cu00e8me%20article%20s%5Cu2019int%5Cu00e9resse%20aux%20facteurs%20associ%5Cu00e9s%20%5Cu00e0%20l%27%5Cu00e2ge%20de%20la%20retraite%20des%20immigrants%20au%20Canada%20ainsi%20qu%5Cu2019au%20lien%20entre%20ce%20passage%20et%20les%20caract%5Cu00e9ristiques%20associ%5Cu00e9es%20%5Cu00e0%20une%20meilleure%20int%5Cu00e9gration%20sur%20le%20march%5Cu00e9%20du%20travail%2C%20tels%20que%20la%20d%5Cu00e9tention%20d%27un%20dipl%5Cu00f4me%20canadien%20et%20l%5Cu2019%5Cu00e2ge%20%5Cu00e0%20l%5Cu2019immigration%20au%20pays.%20%5Cu00c0%20l%5Cu2019aide%20des%20donn%5Cu00e9es%20de%20l%5Cu2019ELIA%20coupl%5Cu00e9es%20aux%20donn%5Cu00e9es%20administratives%20du%20revenu%2C%20les%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%20montrent%2C%20globalement%2C%20que%20si%20les%20r%5Cu00e9gimes%20de%20retraite%20priv%5Cu00e9s%20influencent%20significativement%20le%20comportement%20de%20retraite%20des%20immigrants%20et%20des%20natifs%2C%20la%20pr%5Cu00e9sence%20d%27enfants%20dans%20le%20m%5Cu00e9nage%20n%27est%20significative%20que%20pour%20ces%20derniers.%20En%20ce%20qui%20concerne%20les%20variables%20li%5Cu00e9es%20%5Cu00e0%20l%27immigration%2C%20nous%20observons%20que%20le%20fait%20d%27arriver%20au%20plus%20tard%20%5Cu00e0%20l%27%5Cu00e2ge%20de%2018%20ans%20rapproche%20les%20comportements%20de%20retraite%20des%20immigrants%20et%20des%20natifs%2C%20quelle%20que%20soit%20la%20d%5Cu00e9finition%20retenue.%20Par%20ailleurs%2C%20la%20d%5Cu00e9tention%20d%27un%20dipl%5Cu00f4me%20canadien%20appara%5Cu00eet%20associ%5Cu00e9e%20%5Cu00e0%20une%20retraite%20plus%20tardive%20lorsque%20la%20d%5Cu00e9finition%20retenue%20est%20celle%20bas%5Cu00e9e%20sur%20l%27%5Cu00e2ge%20d%5Cu00e9clar%5Cu00e9%20de%20la%20retraite.%5CnLes%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%20de%20cette%20th%5Cu00e8se%20contribuent%20%5Cu00e0%20faire%20avancer%20les%20connaissances%20sur%20la%20retraite%20dans%20un%20contexte%20marqu%5Cu00e9%20par%20le%20poids%20grandissant%20des%20immigrants.%20D%5Cu2019abord%2C%20nous%20avons%20d%5Cu00e9montr%5Cu00e9%20que%2C%20tout%20comme%20le%20sexe%2C%20le%20statut%20d%5Cu2019immigrant%20implique%20un%20passage%20de%20la%20vie%20active%20%5Cu00e0%20la%20retraite%20diff%5Cu00e9rent%20de%20celui%20v%5Cu00e9cu%20par%20les%20natifs%20qui%20m%5Cu00e9rite%20d%5Cu2019%5Cu00eatre%20un%20objet%20d%5Cu2019%5Cu00e9tude%20en%20soi.%20Deuxi%5Cu00e8mement%2C%20nos%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%20attirent%20l%27attention%20sur%20l%27importance%20de%20mieux%20comprendre%20la%20relation%20entre%20la%20d%5Cu00e9finition%20de%20la%20retraite%20et%20les%20r%5Cu00e9sultats%20obtenus%20afin%20de%20tirer%20des%20conclusions%20plus%20pr%5Cu00e9cises%20sur%20le%20comportement%20en%20mati%5Cu00e8re%20de%20retraite.%20En%20outre%2C%20nos%20analyses%20montrent%2C%20d%27une%20part%2C%20que%20les%20immigrants%20arriv%5Cu00e9s%20avant%20l%27%5Cu00e2ge%20de%2019%20ans%20prennent%20leur%20retraite%20%5Cu00e0%20un%20%5Cu00e2ge%20semblable%20%5Cu00e0%20celui%20des%20natifs.%20D%27autre%20part%2C%20ceux%20qui%20arrivent%20apr%5Cu00e8s%20l%27%5Cu00e2ge%20de%2030%20ans%20ou%20qui%20poss%5Cu00e8dent%20un%20dipl%5Cu00f4me%20canadien%20sont%20plus%20susceptibles%20de%20prendre%20leur%20retraite%20plus%20tardivement%20par%20rapport%20aux%20autres%20immigrants%20et%20aux%20natifs.%20Ceci%20souligne%20l%27importance%20de%20poursuivre%20le%20d%5Cu00e9veloppement%20de%20strat%5Cu00e9gies%20visant%20%5Cu00e0%20am%5Cu00e9liorer%20leur%20int%5Cu00e9gration%20sur%20le%20march%5Cu00e9%20du%20travail%20et%20leur%20acc%5Cu00e8s%20%5Cu00e0%20des%20emplois%20offrant%20des%20r%5Cu00e9gimes%20de%20retraite%20priv%5Cu00e9s%20afin%20d%27am%5Cu00e9liorer%20leur%20revenu%20de%20retraite%2C%20surtout%20lorsqu%5Cu2019ils%20migrent%20apr%5Cu00e8s%20l%5Cu2019%5Cu00e2ge%20de%2030%20ans.%22%2C%22thesisType%22%3A%22Th%5Cu00e8se%20de%20doctorat%22%2C%22university%22%3A
